Braindrain

Place-keep poem to jumpstart tomorrow
from yesterday, today unprimed.

Look for truth or thought to borrow
but get through now with words unclimbed.

Don’t look too close for wrinkles wallow
with line and time beyond control.

Fake it good, don’t sound too hollow
swallow pride and walk away go.

This is the poem today I post
let’s hope tomorrow’s better host.

After all as Hollywood said
fake sincerity and you’ve got it made.

Nothing in Mother Hubbard’s cupboard, so gotta fake the feeding.

Been writing a poem a day since October 1, 2013. The first 31 days were for a Crisis Chronicles Press publication project featuring eight poets, one of which is my lovely wife Lady K . . . that book may come out this month.

After October ended, I was enjoying creating too much to quit and continued so far for 125 days, with many lesser lights and minor saves along the way, but also some quite decent surprises here and there.

Still don’t want to quit, but have neither time nor inspiration today, so here’s my place holder to get me to tomorrow and hope of better brighter brow.

If no poem tomorrow, no matter no how.

In either case, goodbye for now.
